Brad holds a Ph.D. in Career and Technical Education and the M.S. and B.S. degrees in Vocational Agricultural Education from Louisiana State University. In addition, he earned a Master of Pastoral Studies with an emphasis in Spirituality from Loyola University-New Orleans. He received his certification in Spiritual Direction through Spiritual Directors Training Program operated within the Catholic Diocese of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and assisted with the training of future spiritual directors through that program for ten years. He also has earned certification in Systemic Professional Learning for Equity Certification from the Equity Alliance at Arizona State University and holds a Certificate in Social Justice from the University of Dayton. He is a trained and seasoned facilitator for two programs which center around Catholic Social Teaching and prayer: JustFaith and Engaging Spirituality, giving him further ability to share his passion for social justice with others. He has taught on the secondary and post-secondary levels in Louisiana (agricultural education and teacher education), which included mentoring young adults and building community partnerships. He currently serves as adjunct professor at two Louisiana universities. On the international scene, he has been involved in international agricultural development activities in the countries of Russia, Ukraine, Zambia, and Liberia.
